How Velox uses Hyrox finisher results

Velox programs training against a dataset of more than 1.2 million Hyrox finisher results from events around the world. Those race results help tailor workouts and give athletes deeper insight into how their station baselines compare with their division and the wider field. That figure is finisher results — not Velox app users.

What this dataset is

Hyrox publishes race results for finishers across events and divisions. Velox assesses and uses a large collection of those finisher results — more than 1.2 million athletes who have completed Hyrox events globally — as context for programming and comparison. The goal is simple: when you log station baselines in Velox, your plan and insights can sit against real race outcomes instead of vibes.

This is one of the clearest ways Velox differs from a generic training log. Notes apps store what you did. Velox aims to interpret what those numbers mean for Hyrox race prep.

What this dataset is not

  • It is not a count of Velox downloads or monthly active users.
  • It is not a claim that 1.2 million people train inside the Velox app.
  • It is not an official HYROX ranking product. Velox is not an official HYROX product.
  • It is not, on this page, a published table of percentile times. Numeric tables will appear only after verified figures are approved for release.

What Velox measures against the field

Comparison starts with the same course structure athletes race: finish performance and the eight work stations, with runs connecting them. In Velox’s results model those stations are:

  1. SkiErg
  2. Sled Push
  3. Sled Pull
  4. Burpee Broad Jump
  5. Rowing
  6. Farmers Carry
  7. Sandbag Lunges
  8. Wall Balls

Your personal station baselines are the input. Field context from finisher results is the backdrop. Together they help the app emphasize weak links and make standing more meaningful than a private spreadsheet.

How this shows up in training

Velox turns baselines into a personalized race-prep plan, daily workouts, and calendar structure. Finisher-result context informs how demanding or comparative those insights feel by division. It does not replace coaching judgment, medical advice, or the official standards for your event.

Practical loop:

  1. Log baselines for runs and all eight stations.
  2. Follow the plan Velox places on your calendar.
  3. Rehearse with race simulation.
  4. Retest baselines after training blocks.
  5. Use field context to understand where you sit — then train the gap.

Division-aware comparison

Hyrox finishers race in different divisions with different standards. Comparing a baseline without division context is how athletes get discouraged or overconfident. Velox’s approach is to keep comparison closer to the athlete’s division and the wider field of finishers, so insights stay relevant.

For the public race format itself, start with the stations guide. For weeks to race, see the training plan guide. For effort strategy, see pacing.

Why we are not publishing percentile tables yet

Citable numbers only help if they are accurate and clearly sourced. This page establishes the methodology and the 1.2 million finisher-result claim in plain language. When verified division percentiles are ready for publication, they will appear here as tables athletes and answer engines can cite. Until then, treat any third-party “good time” chart with caution and confirm standards with the organizer.

Privacy and fairness

Benchmark context is about aggregated race outcomes used to improve programming insight. It is not a promise that your personal race result will be published by Velox. Account data and support questions remain covered by our Privacy Policy and contact channels.
